Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Strategy:

At Brimsham Green School we are committed to ensuring that each individual student receives the very best education allowing them to reach their full potential academically and socially. We are determined to make sure that Pupil Premium students achieve in line with all students nationally.

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged students and close the gap between them and their peers.

Like all schools, Brimsham Green is responsible for spending the Pupil Premium in the most impactful way and the links below provide information relating to how we are using the Pupil Premium and the impact it is having on student achievement. Our approach to Pupil Premium strategy is reviewed by the Governing Body's Achievement Committee, which meets six times each academic year (once per term).

When deciding how to spend the Pupil Premium grant we have looked at the potential barriers to learning faced by Pupil Premium students in the context of our school. Each child entitled to the Pupil Premium grant is unique in their situation and our response to their needs must reflect this. The main barriers to learning are attendance, parental engagement, aspirations, transitions and curriculum challenges.
