Governor vacancies
Would you like to be part of something worthwhile that will make a big difference? Do you have some time to give? Are you the parent of a child at school? Do you have a general interest in education?
We have two vacancies on our Governing Body for people from all walks of life who:
- Have an open, enquiring mind
- Like to learn new skills and be part of a team
- Are willing to listen and make informed judgements
- Are willing to commit approximately 10-15 hours per term for meetings and training (generally in the evening)
We ask that you are committed to the role and are passionate about improving our school, and in return we offer free training and support.
School governance is a great opportunity for anyone interested in children’s education to have a positive impact on their lives, whilst developing existing skills and learning new ones that are transferable within the working environment. Equally, you might have: knowledge of Company Law; experience in the financial sector; a career-background in marketing; an understanding of how large organisations operate; an interest in community-based activities. In short, we are keen to recruit individuals with a diverse range of skills and interests.
