Cotswold Edge Year 13 Brimsham Green students excel once again!

Following the release of results today, Brimsham Green is extremely proud to celebrate the successes of our Cotswold Edge Sixth Form students. 22% of all students’ grades were either A* or A, and more than half the cohort achieved an A*-B grade.

Cotswold Edge’s vibrant curriculum offer continues to enable students to study an engaging combination of academic and vocational subjects, facilitating additional qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Further Maths, and the Extended Project (a course in which 100% of grades were A*-B). The curriculum, delivered through excellent teaching, has enabled students to secure prestigious university and apprenticeship places, and has also equipped students to be able to take productive gap years, travelling abroad.

"Students’ enjoyment of their studies, plus their determination to excel, has truly paid off once again. We are thrilled that our students are about to embark on really exciting post 18 journeys, including highly sought-after Level 6 apprenticeships, and highly competitive Russell Group university degrees. The significant increase in top grades, more than ever before, (including in our vocational curriculum, where students’ results at Distinction and above are double the national average), is testimony to the hard work of everyone, students, staff and parents alike.

This year, we have an unprecedented number of students who are destined for stage and screen, both in front of and behind the camera! Don’t be surprised if Seth Ashley, Joey Morris, Charlotte Wheeler, Emily Palmer, Dan Cox and Jemma Kellengray are stars of the future.”

Congratulations to all students who have received their grades today, notably:

• Isaac Neal, Euan Sillar, Amy Burge, Paris Agoro, Lily Wright and Callum Rees – these six students absolutely smashed their target grades, and really have excelled.
• Eve Jenkins’ four A*s and one A are taking her to Oxford University to study Chemistry.
• Tilly de Nobriga’s two A*s and two As are taking her to Cambridge University to study Architecture.
• Connie Hudd, who is excited to be studying English and Film at the University of Bristol, now that she has secured her two A*s and a B.
• Hana Tomi will also be an undergraduate at the University of Bristol, having excelled and attained four A grades, and will be taking a degree in History.
• Lily Wright, who is taking a gap year to travel, and is then returning to study English Literature at the University of Birmingham, having gained one A* and two As.
• Sophie Howes will also be taking a gap year to travel, before deciding how to use her two A grades and one B grade to maximum effect; Sophie is destined for great things, regardless.
• Chloe Poole’s two A grades and one B have secured her a place at the University of Southampton to study for a degree in Environmental Geoscience.
• Will Phillpott, whose double Distinction is enabling him to join Norland College, the world's first higher education institution dedicated to early childhood studies, based in Bath.
• Joe Tibbert, Harrison Waller and Zack Wigginton who have been through extremely rigorous external assessment, alongside securing their A Level grades, to be offered highly competitive Level 6 apprenticeships: we are proud of you!
• Tom Badman, who is all set to embark on the brand-new Teacher Degree Apprenticeship route. Tom will soon be teaching in a Primary School in Gloucestershire.

Finally, we would like to make special mention of Ella Graham, a Brimsham Green alumnus, who has headed off to the U.S. to enrol at Illinois Central College this summer. After completing GCSEs at Brimsham, Ella studied her passion: football. Or, as the Americans say, ‘soccer’! Very best of luck, Ella! 

Looking ahead, students who are currently studying GCSEs and will be entering Sixth Form in September 2027 are invited to attend Cotswold Edge Open Evening, on Thursday 15 October, 2026. Any students awaiting their GCSE results prior to registering at Cotswold Edge for September 2026, should collect their results from their home school on Thursday, 20 August prior to enrolling with us.
