Remuneration: All our teaching positions are based on the national teaching scale. If you are a UQT, we will assess your experience, and remunerate appropriately. Support staff salaries are based on the National Joint Council for Local Government Services pay structure.

Pensions: Teaching staff benefit from the Teachers’ Pension Scheme and Support staff are enrolled to the Local Government Pension scheme. Both pension schemes are ‘defined benefits’ which offer a guaranteed income at retirement and both schemes provide generous employer contributions.

Career development: We help to develop colleagues’ skills, to support their current roles and future careers. All staff have an entitlement to continuing professional development (CPD), with reference to recognised competency frameworks such as the Teachers Standards’ Framework, National Professional Qualifications and competency descriptions for Teaching Assistants, HLTA’s, School Business Managers etc.

Employee wellbeing: At Brimsham Green School we are committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing. Our open culture allows staff voices to be heard and through the use of effective policies and procedures we ensure a supportive environment – this includes access to mental health first aiders and a free counselling service if it’s needed.

Flexible working: We offer flexible working options including part-time hours, change to working patterns, flexible-retirement, and long-term leave to study, train, care for dependants, travel or work in a voluntary capacity. Holiday: Staff benefit from generous annual leave. Support staff start with 34 days paid leave per year (pro-rata for reduced hours) including public and bank holidays. After 5 years working for us this will increase to 39 days paid leave. Full time teaching staff work in school 195 days per year.
