Languages curriculum intent statement: In the Languages Department we will broaden students’ horizons. Learning a language is a valuable life skill.​

Our students will aspire to be confident and competent language-learners, who are able to make and reflect on their progress. They will demonstrate responsibility and resilience as they develop their comprehension skills through their listening and reading work, and their communication skills through their spoken and written work.​

Students will have enquiring minds and develop an awareness of the cultures related to the languages they learn, and appreciate the opportunities that learning a language affords them.
