Global Partnership - Hosana Trip 2009
Our Visit to Hosanna
At 9.15 pm on Thursday 2nd April Ms Davies, Miss Lowe and Miss Hewitt set off on an African adventure!
Our destination was Hosanna Primary School in Kampala. The aim of the trip was to strengthen the link between the two schools and to further develop a shared curriculum. The 8 days in Uganda were fantastic. The 3 hour lessons were long, but thankfully the Hosanna students were incredibly receptive. Lessons included myths and legends, climate, the life of Jesus, HIV/Aids and peer pressure.
The next stage of the partnership is to take some of our own 6th form students to Uganda which we are hoping will happen in July 2010. We are currently fundraising and investigating possible support from local businesses.
Thank you for all the support we received from students, staff and parents. Please contact us if you would like any further information about our partnership.
