FILM CLUB, a school activity in which students get the chance to experience a variety of films, takes place in the Fiction Room.

 

Wednesday 26th February – Free Solo  Certificate 12

This is an  Oscar winning film about legendary rock climber Alex Honnold and his attempt to climb El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.  “Free Solo is an edge of your seat thriller and an inspiring portrait of an athlete who challenges both his body and his beliefs on a quest to triumph over the impossible”.

Wednesday 9th March – Swallows and Amazons – Certificate PG

Based on the novel by Arthur Ransome, four children are having a very boring holiday with their mother in the Lake District.  After much moaning they are allowed to camp on their own on a remote island in the middle of Lake Windermere; it is then that they discover they may not be alone!  A brilliant timeless adventure.

Wednesday 25th March – Ralph Breaks the Internet – Certificate PG

A gaming inspired animated adventureVideo game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfits   must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game, "Sugar Rush."

Lunchtime Pop Up Cinema

For the week commencing 2nd March, we will be watching The Book Thief (certificate 12)  at lunchtimes in the fiction rooms, beginning on Monday 2nd and ending on Friday 6th March.  All welcome.  Bring your lunch!
