Student Planner

 

Dear Parent/Carer

You may be aware that we changed our student planners two years ago and rather than issuing all students with a planner we ask that you let us know if your child requires one.  All students in Year 7 will automatically receive a planner when they begin in September.

Students are able to access Home Learning via SMHW which means there is less of a need for planners.  In addition, students will be reflecting on their current grades and LPS in a separate booklet which they will keep with them for the duration of their school career.  This will allow them to monitor the progress they are making over a longer period of time. These will be kept in school by your child’s tutor, however, you will continue to receive their current and LPS grades 3 times a year.

It is worth noting that we are now a mobile free school community so students will not be able to use their mobile phone to record their timetable.  We will issue all students with several copies of their timetable, including a laminated copy if they wish.  This timetable will be issued to them when they return in September.

If you and your child do choose to opt in please email me at admin@brimsham.com by Friday 10th July.  There will be no cost for the planner, however if it is lost by a student there will be a small charge to replace it.
