Student Planner 2021-22
You may be aware that we changed our student planners several years ago so that students in year 7 received one, and any other student that opted in. Earlier this year, I asked Year 7 parents to confirm if they thought it was helpful for all of Year 7 to receive one. The overwhelming majority thought that parents and students in all year groups should be able to opt in, or not.
Students are able to access Home Learning via Satchel One which means there is less of a need for planners. In addition, students will be reflecting on their current grades and LPS in a separate booklet which they will keep with them for the duration of their school career. This will allow them to monitor the progress they are making over a longer period of time. These will be kept in school by your child’s tutor, however, you will continue to receive their current and LPS grade 3 times a year.
If you and your child do choose to opt in please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 16th July. There will be no cost for the planner, however if it is lost by a student there will be a small charge to replace it. A draft version of this year’s planner is available to view at http://www.brimsham.com/Portal/Noticeboard/bgs_school-planner_2021-22.pdf
