Rotary Chef Competition

The Rotary Chef Competition concluded this week with some outstanding food being produced.

All participating students did amazingly and produced restaurant quality food within 1 hour and 30 minutes. Judge Ann Murray (Cooking4 Cookery School) said they were a credit to the school and to the food industry in years to come. Jonathan Jones (Chef at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club) said that the standard was the same as his chefs at the Golf Club! Jane Grafton (Cookery School Manager at Hobbs House) said that it was the first time that she has judged a competition where someone has made a dish that she has not made before and that she was going to try making it at the weekend.

William Sell – Overall Winner J: Salmon with Couscous and Deconstructed Cheesecake with pink peppercorn crumb

Alice Prottey – Runner Up J: Bread Based Pizza and Fruit Tarts
