Cotswold Edge Students ready for the challenge of A level study

130 students from Cotswold Edge Edge consortium of Brimsham Green, Chipping Sodbury and Yate Academy 6th forms, spent the first day of the school year ‘Stepping up to A level’ with FutureQuest at UWE.

Students spent the day attending five workshops designed to help them make a smooth transition from GCSE to A level study. These included sessions on study skills, emotional resilience and adopting an A level mindset.

Teresa Lamb, Head of 6th Form at Brimsham Green School said,      “The students engaged brilliantly with the day, we are hoping that    students will feel equipped to make a great start to A level study.” Gemma Davies Head of Post 16 at Yate Academy reflected, “It has been a great day for students helping them build on their amazing GCSE results, students were engaged and came away ready for their next steps in sixth form.” Well done to all who attended.
