COVID Update: isolation period changes

The BBC news is currently (2pm,11.12.20) reporting that self-isolation for contacts of people with confirmed coronavirus will be shortened from 14 to 10 days across the UK from Monday.

School settings have not yet been advised of this, but we anticipate receiving updated guidance from the Department for Education, Public Health and South Gloucestershire in due course. Specifically we need to establish that this applies to all ages, in all settings, and that there are no additional / different measures schools need to implement.

For all students who are currently self-isolating, and the isolation period originally extended into Monday and/or beyond, please continue to learn remotely on Monday, 14 December. Please anticipate receiving communication from us on Monday, 14 December regarding your revised return to school date.

For all students who are presently self-isolating, and the original 14 day isolation period terminates this weekend, please return to school on Monday as planned.
