The Social Sciences Department is passionate about teaching students to care!
- Have you ever wondered why people behave the way they do?
- Are you interested in learning about the human mind?
- Do you want to know about human development and progression?
- Would you like to care for others?
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions then social sciences could be for you!
The Social Sciences Department covers Psychology, Health & Social Care and Child Development.
Within psychology you will study psychopathology, aggression, human relationships, intelligence, eye witness testimony and many other topics.
The health and social care course will look at communication, health, anatomy and physiology, early years, additional needs to name a few.
Finally, child development will cover play and learning, patterns of growth and development, and safeguarding as well as many theorists and their views.
