Planting at Cranleigh Court

At Brimsham Green School we encourage students to think of other people, both in the local community, nationally and internationally.  It is our philosophy that students should contribute to the school community at least as much as they derive from it and that they also learn about life beyond the school gates.

Duke of Edinburgh AwardThe school has an excellent relationship with local business who provide their time and expertise through many CEIAG (Careers Education, Information & Guidance) activities – investing in, committing to and helping develop work readiness in our students - who in turn become valued employees within the community.

Band TourBrimsham Green Students also reach out to the community through the activities of the School Band, the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, the National Citizen Service, U3A, Yate Twinning, Youth Speaks, Rotary, YOSC, the Youth Club, activities through 6th form General Studies and internationally through our link with Hosanna Primary School in Kampala, Uganda.

Community work benefits our students by helping them explore and develop their own capabilities and become the very best version of themselves.  As citizens of tomorrow they will need developed critical and interpersonal abilities, but also have at their disposal the resources for personal fulfilment and recreation.
