Open Mornings/Evenings

BGS studentsOpen Morning -
for Y5 Parents/Carers
(Summer term)

Open Evening -
for prospective students and their families (Autumn Term)

It is a good idea to start looking round schools before your child starts Year 6 and then revisit with your child the schools you’re most interested in, during the autumn in which you need to apply.

During Year 5 Open Morning, prospective parents/carers can visit Brimsham Green school during a working day, usually in July.  You will be able to visit classrooms, and often student guides will show you round and talk to you about the school – please feel free to ask your guide questions about the daily life of the school.

The format of the Year 5 Open Morning, gives parents and carers the opportunity to  hear a short talk by the Headteacher, Ms Garland.  There will also be an opportunity to hear from our Student Support Team, Head of Maths, Head of English, Literacy and SEN departments to give a flavour of the approach to your child’s learning at Brimsham Green school.

The aim of the Open Morning for parents & carers is to give an opportunity to think and reflect on secondary school life, before the Year 6 Open Evenings start in all secondary schools in September/October, prior to the application deadline for secondary school places on 31st October.

When are Open Evenings held?
